Certificate of Biblical Worship

The Certificate of Biblical Worship program provides a one-year introduction to the musical and spiritual elements of Worship ministry. This certificate is designed to be a launching pad for those desiring to serve in worship ministry, grounding the student in a knowledge of theology, music theory and tech fundamentals. Those who complete the program and desire to continue on at PBC toward a Certificate or Associates of Christian Ministry will have earned 15 Credits toward that program. 

Successful completion of the program will equip the student to: 

• Understand the themes and flow of the bible that informs theologically sound and thematically rich song choices 
• Understand perspectives in bible interpretation, worldview, and discipleship which are critical for the student’s own personal spiritual growth and for equipping others for ministry 
• Understand the language of music in order to teach others and to communicate effectively to a worship team 
• Understand the instruments used in a typical contemporary worship band, their roles, how they interact, and how to rehearse them. 
• Understand the systems and workflow of sound and graphic content commonly used in a contemporary worship service.
