Mike received his Master of Divinity – Expositional from Western Seminary, and Bachelor of Science – Engineering Physics from Oregon State University.

Mike Robinson first came to the college as a teacher in 2004. By 2009 he accepted the role as president. His passion and heart for the college is embodied in the college’s mission statement: Pacific Bible College is a Christ-centered learning community committed to equipping students to become biblically competent, academically proficient, spiritually cultivated, and culturally engaged servant leaders. One group of individuals that Mike desires to reach is the high school graduate. It is his hope and prayer that they will find PBC as a place to grow in the knowledge of their faith to withstand the trials and temptations that will face them later in life and not become another statistic of one who strays from the church.

Another love Mike has is that of being an engineer. In 1991 Mike and his wife, Cindy, established a local business, Diode Laser Concepts, Inc. They work with large and small customers across a range of industries to produce customized laser modules that meet or exceed customer specifications. Medford is fortunate in many ways to have his business well established here.

Born in 1953, Matt grew up in Southern California. After a stint with the US Army Special Forces (1972-75), he used his Medic experience to become an RN in ICU and ER. A failed first marriage shook his smug self-confidence and in 1980 Matt came to know Jesus Christ as his Lord.

Moving to Oregon, he became a logger, a builder and a ski bum. Then in 1988 Matt married his best friend Ila and became step-dad to 13 year-old Brian. Working as a landscape contractor, Matt was drawn more and more deeply into ministry as a worship leader, Sunday school teacher and short-term missionary.

In 1996, Matt joined the pastoral staff at Trail Christian Fellowship and, at the urging of friends and colleagues, was soon teaching Church History at Pacific Bible College. After almost 25 years of vocational ministry, Matt retired from TCF in 2019,

but continued teaching at PBC until becoming Academic Dean in 2021.

Apparently Matt has yet to fully grasp the full meaning of “retirement” and continues to find ways of making himself useful both to his beloved wife as well as His gracious Lord. He is most grateful for the Kingdom labors he has been called to and for the family of faith in whose midst those labors are offered. He is a happy Man.

Kathy brings a wealth of higher ed experience and will be an asset to everyone at Pacific Bible College. Not only does Kathy possess excellent administrative skills, she is proficient in organization and development of programs and events.

Originally from Texas, Kathy has lived in Oklahoma since 2010 where she was instrumental in developing a Christian recovery program, worked as General Office Manager at Compassion Church and an Adjunct Instructor for Mid-America Christian University. She continues to teach online courses for the University and is currently teaching Foundations of Ethics: The Life of Jesus. Next term she will be teaching Women in Ministry, a new online course.

Kathy shared that she was drawn to Pacific Bible College after visiting the website and was impressed with the vision to equip students with a Biblical worldview for the purpose of serving in the marketplace. She loves the heart behind getting the Gospel out of the four walls of the church and into areas such as education, counseling, the media, law, the arts, and the medical industry.

Before moving to the Rogue Valley, Kathy was involved in ministry at Victory Church and Beautiful Restoration Ministry in Edmond, Oklahoma as a Servant Leader, Intercessory Prayer Leader, Event Coordinator and Teacher.

Amy Stonehill, a native Oregonian, worked on staff at L.I.F.E. Bible College in Los Angeles where she met and married her husband of thirty-four years. Mike and Amy moved to Sacramento where they served in bi-vocational ministry for 29 years.

She will coordinate Pacific Bible College’s operations related to financial aid and packaging of financial aid awards, financial aid advising, the institution’s student employment programs, compliance with the Veterans Administration, and institutional regulatory compliance for all federal, state, and institutional financial aid programs.

Amy’s background includes working for the State of California as an Associate Government Program Analyst and worked in a variety of positions including as office coordinator for the Northern California Mining and Tunneling District Office, as Assistant to the Chief Procurement Officer, and as Contract Manager for Northern California Caltrans. She also had the opportunity to work on special projects for Governor Gray Davis, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and Governor Jerry Brown.

Amy strongly believes God has called each of us to use our God-given knowledge, skills and abilities for His Glory. She has demonstrated this through leading worship for more than 2 decades, and currently leads worship for the Monday Night Women’s Bible Study at Table Rock Fellowship. Amy has a 13-year-old son who is a testimony of the goodness of God and who is the joy of her life.

Pacific Bible College is an answer to prayer and Amy is excited to be a part of the PBC family!

Elijah has a passion for Biblical Higher Education. He believes that every child of God, no matter where they are in their walk with Jesus, can benefit from going to Bible College. His role at the school is to assist students in their educational journeys and provide all the tools necessary for completing their degrees.

Elijah hails from Corvallis Oregon (Beaver Nation), where he met his wonderful wife, Hailey. Elijah loves reading history books and has read all of the Lord of the Rings books once a year in the Fall. Music is his favorite subject outside the Bible, where he could spend hours listening to Jazz without knowing the time has passed. He believes friends are important and has met some of his closest friends at Bible college.

Garrett Trott works full-time as University Librarian at Corban University in Salem, Oregon. Garrett has been involved with academic librarianship for over 15 years and is excited to offer his experience and expertise to strengthen and equip students, faculty, and staff in their research and project endeavors.

Garrett has an interest in the integration of faith and learning. In an academic context, this means how one can see all disciplines of study through a biblical-theological lens. As Garrett is a librarian, he has particular interest in exploring what faith and learning looks like in his field. This includes asking questions, such as: what makes a librarian who identifies with their faith in Jesus Christ distinct from one who does not? While there are some obvious answers to this, such as being kind, gentle, and respectful to patrons, many in the profession (and many professions) are taught a level of customer service which can reflect this. Garrett is pursuing this question further of how a believer in Christ can manifest their faith through the profession of librarianship. Garrett has been happily married to his beautiful wife, Sara for 17 years. He and his wife have three children: David, Robert, and Margaret.  Garrett and his family live in Stayton, Oregon — just east of Salem.

Rick Booye is the founding and Senior Pastor at Trail Christian Fellowship in Eagle Point Oregon where he has served for 34 years. He is a graduate of Biola University in Southern California (B.A. in Biblical Studies) and Western Seminary in Portland, Oregon (M.A. in Exegetical Theology and D.Min.) He is a past president of Pacific Bible College and currently teaches Theology and Biblical Studies at PBC. Rick is married to Barbara, and they have two grown daughters and seven grandchildren.

Terry Pruett has been in full time Christian ministry for over thirty years. He spent seventeen years pastoring three churches, primarily in Alaska. The last thirteen years, he and his wife Cynthia have served as missionaries with InFaith (formerly American Missionary Fellowship) on the Southern Oregon Field. He oversees the InFaith churches and missionaries on the field, along with serving as Vice President of the Board and Executive Camp Director at Fir Point Bible Conference in Glendale, Oregon.

He and his wife have two married children and three grandchildren and reside in White City. His personal and ministry website is www.TheEnduringWord.net.

Tony Abbott was born and raised in the Rogue Valley, spending much of his childhood outdoors and cultivating a sense of adventure and curiosity. It didn’t take long to develop a love for science, but he often struggled to reconcile his faith with some of what he learned about the natural world. As a teenager, he became frustrated with what he saw as a false dichotomy of “science versus faith”.  

Tony graduated from North Medford High School in 2005 and enrolled at Southern Oregon University. He found his Christian beliefs more challenged than ever, and wanted to be able to challenge naturalistic worldviews. He declared a physics major, and immediately became enchanted with theoretical physics. He graduated in 2012 with a B.S. in Standard Physics, with a particular love of quantum physics and its mathematical formalism. With the counsel of his wife and much prayer, he decided to pursue a career in education, earning his M.A. in Teaching in 2013.  

Tony has a wife, Becky, and two boys, Desmond and Jude. Along with his teaching math at the Pacific Bible College, he teaches math and science at the Crater Renaissance Academy, and works in the private sector in research and development in optical thin films. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, attending church at Heritage Christian Fellowship, studying theoretical physics, and spending time with his family.

Brian has been the pastor of Hope Presbyterian Church in Rogue River, Oregon since 1999.  Previously he served as Director of Children’s Ministries of Community Presbyterian Church, Ventura, California and as Operations Manager of the Boston Theological Institute, Newton Centre, Massachusetts.  His passion is knowing and loving and serving Jesus Christ, and helping others bring Jesus to the center of their life.  He and his wife Kerry have three teenage children.

Brian has earned his Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies, Vanguard University, Costa Mesa, California; Master of Arts in Church History, Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, South Hamilton, Massachusetts; Master of Divinity, San Francisco Theological Seminary, Southern California Extension, Claremont, California.

Deana spent 28 years teaching English and writing curriculum at South Medford High School (retired). She appreciates the wonder of words. She has worked with high school students as both an English and Dance teacher. Deana has spent more than 40 years studying the Bible, theology, and apologetics.

She is an active member of the Oregon Poetry Association and the author of one poetry chapbook from which several poems have won state and national prizes. She and her husband live in southern Oregon.

Victor seeks to make disciples who love God and people. Currently, he does that by serving as Lead Pastor of Calvary Crossroads Church in Grants Pass and teaching at Pacific Bible College. He and his wife, Jenny, have three daughters. He enjoys playing pinball, listening to jazz and doing theology in community. His degrees include Doctor of Ministry @ Corban, Master of Divinity @ Luther Rice Seminary & Bachelor of Science summa cum laude @ Eastern Mennonite University. His doctoral Thesis-Project was “Everybody Everyday: A prayer initiaitive that facilitates prayer for every person in the church every day and builds community along the way.”

Jody Bormuth has served the Lord for almost 45 years. In that time, she has worked in various ministries, including leading Bible studies and encouraging women of all ages.  She has been a Precept Bible study teacher and trainer, the Girl’s Director and Assistant Director for Youth and Director of Women’s Ministry. The Lord has allowed Jody to minister in several other ways; aside from teaching she has written many teaching materials, including topical studies, book studies as well as an in-depth biblically-based discipleship course. She was instrumental in creating the once a year Biblical conference in Southern Oregon known as OWOW (SOWOW now) or the Southern Oregon Women of the Word conference. In addition to that, she has had numerous articles published in the magazine, “Just Between Us”, which have been reprinted and included in a book series for Cook Communications. She is also asked to speak at many different retreats and seminars.

In 2001, she graduated with a Master’s Degree in Pastoral Ministries and in 2019 just recently graduated with a Doctor of Ministry degree from Multnomah Biblical Seminary in Portland. She has a deep passion for engaging the culture through biblical education as, “…that which produces reverence for the Lord”. (Ps. 119:38)

Jody and her husband Tom have been married for 45 years, and have 2 grown daughters, now both serving their Lord passionately. They have been blessed with seven grandchildren. Jody currently serves on the faculty of Pacific Bible College in Medford in order to continue the encouragement of biblically based education for students and lay people throughout the Rogue Valley. She especially loves to teach her Biblical Genders class, which challenges men and women to discover the true biblical reasons for “Why God Created Two Genders!”

Tyler has a passion for scripture; particularly its power for fascinating and formation. He received his undergraduate degree at Simpson University, and his Master’s degree at Liberty University. He’s spent a lot of time in student, worship, and camp ministry, but now leads a Campus of River Valey Church in Grants Pass, Oregon.

Tyler also coaches boys’ soccer at North Valley High School. He enjoys running, reading, playing guitar, and deep conversations. Tyler has been married to Corina since June 2020.

Sarah Ginther, BA in Dance from the University of Oregon, has been studying theology since 2012. She and her husband, Brandon, have 2 lovely daughters and live here in the valley. She is the head of a branch of Dance in Dialogue here in the area and works as a mentor at the Pregnancy Center as of 2016. She has taught Masters Classes at Redemption Ridge and choreographed modern movement pieces for Rogue Valley Fellowship, D.i.d, and danced with Clarke and Company since having her firstborn in 2017. Her ministry is cultivating an integration of the body, mind and spirit with a Christian worldview through the lens of worship, awareness and mindfulness.

Dr.B has a passionate fervor for enabling others to discover their own voices and infuse the message with the Voice of the Holy Spirit to transform disciples into the virtuous image of our Lord and Savior.

Widowed after 42 years, Dan met and married Lisa, who was also recently widowed. Together they have six children and 12 grandchildren.

Professionally DrB is ordained as a North American Baptist minister and was Senior Pastor at Pilgrim Baptist, Sioux Falls, SD and First Baptist of Fessenden, ND. He taught at the University of Oregon, Multnomah University, Bushnell University, Simpson University, and part time at Kenyan Evangelical Bible College, Trinity Seminary, and A.W. Tozer Seminary. DrB has a national teaching award, he has published Mysterious Romantic Wonder 2nd ed, Speaking the Truth in Love, and Oral Interpretation of the Bible as well as multiple articles and conference papers. He has won a national research award from The National Communication Association as well as a national poetry award from NPR and was promoted to Professor Emeritus in 2021.

Theological Position and Teaching Philosophy:

Melissa has a passion for encouraging others and leading them to Christ. She has over fifteen years of experience within higher education, ministry, training, nonprofit, human services, mentoring, biblical counseling and professional development.  She obtained her bachelors degree in communication arts from Marymount Manhattan College.  She then graduated from Liberty University obtaining a Masters degree in Human Services specialization in marriage and family counseling. She has a doctorate degree in biblical counseling and is a professional member of the American Counseling Association (ACA) and National Organization of Human Services (NOHS). She has provided years of service in youth ministry and elder care. She is also a book reviewer for the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC) and is certified in clinical supervision. She is also a certified SYMBIS facilitator to help pre-marital couples. In addition, Dr. Maldonado has doctoral credentials within higher education and utilizing effective adult learning approaches.

Dr. Maldonado has taught multiple college level courses online and on-campus throughout the social sciences, human services, Christian counseling, addictive behaviors, domestic violence, marriage and family, religion, theology, professional development, lifespan development, business and healthcare fields. She believes in promoting an interactive professional relationship where students and teacher are on the same level and able to collaborate throughout the learning process by critical thinking development, hands-on and reflective learning approaches with a diverse, multicultural context.  She finds it essential to allow her students the ability to correlate their learning objectives to real life, Christ-centered, spiritual and professional experiences applied into their coursework.  She provides the Christ-centered approach, genuineness, interest, motivation, as well as promote the interactivity and application of multiple learning styles for students to enjoy their online learning environment. She lives in sunny Florida with her husband and three beautiful children.

Rachel is passionate about worshipping, loving, and serving Jesus and walking with others as they do as well. She is also passionate about Scripture, talking about Scripture, and walking with people in suffering.

Jered served for two years as a youth pastor in southern California before moving to Medford with His wife Caroline. After ten great years of teaching Bible, World History, and construction at Cascade Christian High School Jered is excited to teach Bible at Pacific. His passion is to relate the depth and profound things of scripture in a clear way that students can understand and take with them into their lives. He and his wife have two children and enjoy the outdoors and any moment of quiet they can get.

Kenner Gotzman is the Lead Pastor at Rogue Valley Fellowship in Medford Oregon where he has served in a variety of roles over the last 15 years. He is a graduate of Pacific Bible College (Associates in Biblical Studies) and Multonmah Seminary (Masters in Applied Theology). Kenner and his wife Stephanie have been married for twelve years and have four children (Jordyn, Hudson, Landon, and Peyton). Kenner has a passion to see Christians integrate sound, biblical theology into their everyday life. He loves to dialogue about the relationship between the Gospel, the Church, and culture.

His downtime is spent coaching his boys’ baseball teams, reading books, and remodeling his 140 year old home.

Randall grew up in the Rogue Valley graduating from Phoenix HS in 1976. Following his seminary studies, he and his wife Cathy served as missionaries for 17 years in the Philippines with WorldVenture where they raised their two sons.  Since 2007 Randall has taught part-time at Biola University (2007-2010) and regularly teaches at various schools in South Asia.

In 2015, Randall and Cathy moved to Medford, Oregon where they live with their son Andrew (who is autistic).  Randall enjoys running, cycling, and mountain biking.  But his greatest passion continues to be promoting the supremacy of Christ among all peoples through God-glorifying, Christ-exalting, Bible-saturated teaching.

Paul was a practicing clinical psychologist for 40 years in Mission Viejo, California.  Additionally, he worked for 3 years as a school psychologist, a year as a deputy probation officer, and two years in an army psychiatric clinic.   

Paul has shared the Word of God with students from elementary through College age for over 40 years. He is enthusiastic about communicating Biblical knowledge with psychological truth. He is currently a group teacher in the Awana program at Trail Christian Fellowship. He volunteers at Walking Tall, a Christian mentoring ministry for young men. Additionally, he volunteers at Food and Friends, a meal program for the homebound.  

Paul and his wife Joyce moved to Southern Oregon after Paul retired as a Clinical Psychologist in the Fall of 2017. They have been married for over 47 years and have 2 grown sons. They are blessed with four grandchildren, with a fifth expected in the Fall of 2019. Joyce taught first and second grades for over 20 years in a Christian school and also in a hybrid homeschool-classroom environment.    

Paul enjoys speaking to groups, fishing, playing scrabble, going for walks with his Labrador retriever, and traveling with Joyce.

Athena is a Licensed Professional Counselor who holds a Master of Science Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Southern Oregon University. She is a Nationally Certified Counselor and has extensive training in Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).

Athena has served individuals and families as therapist in psychiatric day treatment, outpatient, school-based, and residential program settings. Believing effective counseling addresses the body, mind, and spirit, Athena recognizes the vital importance of incorporating spiritual issues in her counseling practice and teaching.

Athena served two years on the Board of Directors for Hearts With A Mission —the only local shelter serving homeless youth. She also served as therapist for Redemption Ridge, a non-profit residential program helping young women rescued from, or at risk for, sex trafficking.

Lee Ryker’s love for the natural world has been expressed in working as a naturalist in youth camps, teaching biological science in public schools, research on the behavior of beetles and birds, mountain climbing, and watching football. His wife and thousands of fellow believers in the LORD constitute his family, and he loves to discuss science, creation, and scripture.
